Westtown School Residency

These works come from a 2012 artist residency at the Westtown School, a Quaker, coeducational, college preparatory day and boarding school for students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This residency was centered around a collaboration with first and second grade students, and produced artwork for the school’s collection. The students created string and glue printing blocks and used these to make a portfolio of prints; multiple string printing blocks were then used to print larger compositions that were hand-colored. The prints were assembled into three artworks: The Color Elephant, Three Sloths and a Volcano, and Lunchtime on the Swamp.
