About this series
I began taking digital photographs from moving vehicles while travelling to and from project sites, trapped behind the wheel, unable to paint. The only rules I observed for these photos were that they had to be taken at a 90° angle from the direction I was looking and that all distortions had to be provided by the motion of the vehicle as interpreted by the camera’s circuitry. I soon began using these happenstance compositions as source material for watercolor paintings.
